As an artisanal craft chocolate maker, Conch: Chocolate Experience makes chocolate from scratch using cocoa beans from various regions around the world, celebrating the natural flavors of cocoa harvested in different regions. In every chocolate, cocoa is the primary ingredient to ensure the cocoa’s natural flavors can be experienced.

Did you know…?

Cocoa beans have different flavor profiles based on the region in which they are grown and harvested. A bean from Madagascar will taste different than a bean from Peru. Flavors can range from nutty to fruity, bitter to astringent, sweet to chocolatey.

Conch: Chocolate Experience has cocoa beans from various cocoa farmers and pairs the natural flavors of the cocoa bean with fillings that compliment the flavor.

The Meaning Behind the Name

Conching

Transitive Verb

  1. The process of using a conche to agitate and evenly distribute cocoa mass.
  2. The part of the chocolate making process in which chocolate gets its unique and distinct flavor.

What makes it an “experience”?

Much like the difference between hearing and listening, there is a difference between eating and experiencing. Eating chocolate is primarily about the consumption of the sweet treat and tasting it as simply chocolate. Experiencing describes the tasting of the chocolate’s individual unique flavors naturally present in the cocoa, such as fruitiness, earthiness, astringency, and so on.
